Basement concrete work is labor intensive, usually requiring all material to be wheelbarrow-ed in and out. Kennys concrete starts by saw cutting the original basement floor away from the foundation walls. Then, using a jackhammer we break up the concrete to a manageable size and remove it. The exposed floor is re-compact we we add a class 6 recycled concrete road base. A ¾” expansion joint is placed on all foundation walls, and new concrete is poured later that day or the next business morning. We use a flat trowel for leaving a smooth finish and place control joints at 10’ and surrounding support structures to control cracking.
